REQUIEM AETERNAM: New Album Artwork Unveiled
February 23, 2010"Destiny-Man", the third album from melodic black metallers REQUIEM AETERNAM — originally from Uruguay but most recently based in Tampa Bay, Florida — will be released in September to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the band.
"Destiny-Man" was mastered in March 2009 at Morrisound Recording in Tampa. The album is set to feature "ten tracks — 50 minutes of anguish," according to the band.
The ten tracks on "Destiny-Man" are inspired — not based — on ten classical composers, including Takemitsu, Beethoven, Mozart, Piazzolla, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Chopin, Paganini and Villa-Lobos.
Commented guitarist/vocalist Jose Romero Sum: "This [is] our most ambitious work to date. I have written more music for this recording than for both former albums put together. This is] our uppermost attempt to consolidate a new style within metal music: philosophical metal."
